A reddish canyon: The Flaming Cliffs

We arrived at 12 a.m. to Dalanzadgad. Our target was to find a mechanic who would have helped us to repair and make small changes in order to enable to our pick-up to continue in safety. They have been put through the mill in the past two days by crossing a land definitely not easy. Holes, rocks, sand and trail very hard. The land rugged, in fact, has literally "dismantled" part of our vehicles: we need to find someone able to fix the "protect-engine" plate and we have to look for new screws that were lost on the way due to the constant vibrations.

After sorting out the 4x4 and made a bit of supplies we have proceeded toward north for further 90 km, reaching the famous Flaming Cliffs, whose real name is Bajanzag.

The scenographic place that we were able to see is difficult to describe: a canyon of reddish land with its extravagant rock forms, in which Nicola and Valerio had a fun ride with their motorbikes, in front of Mirco's camera.

After a few kilometers we reached the closer camp and found refuge in one of his Mongol Ger. We have been offered some rice and vegetables accompanied by mutton.

Tomorrow the landscape and the land will change again, we will reach the sand dunes and we will be still far away from civilization.
