Day 40 - Serbia flag - July 19

We ride quickly the remaining part of Romania, coming from Transylvania. We are entering in the flat area. It makes very hot along the road flowing among expanses of orchards, plums, apples, peaches; then we take the opportunity to make a feast because the fruits fortunately are already mature and sweet.

In the afternoon, after passing the customs fairly simple but, as usual, also here very expensive, we enter into Serbia. Shortly after, Nicola is hit in the eye by an insect but fortunately nothing serious. We drive for the last 90km and arrive in Belgrade. By coming from north, follow the bridge over the Danube. Upon our arrival we expect Carlo, who arrived from Milan and then Sasa and Katarina, Belgrade friends who have offered to be our guides to discover the secrets of the city. Dinner in a typical restaurant where we taste the Cevapcici, a kind of sausage and Kackavali, the last is a kind of goat cheese. After dinner we go to discover the city, from the fortress on the Danube where we admire fireworks which reflect on the river and where we enjoy the night life. In fact there are dozens of boats on which they were derived nightclubs and bars of all kinds.
